Dr. Gracie Turner's journey into the world of medicine began in the serene town of York, Maine, leading her to the University of New Hampshire, where she immersed herself in the study of Microbiology, earning a Bachelor's degree. Her ambition and thirst for knowledge propelled her southward to Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Florida. There, Dr. Turner not only pursued but excelled in a rigorous dual-degree program, obtaining a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH). This unique combination of qualifications laid a solid foundation for her holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing not just the treatment of illness but the promotion of overall health.
Dr. Turner continued to hone her skills at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, where she completed her residency in internal medicine. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and leadership, she was appointed chief medical resident in her final year. Her commitment to patient care and medical education was recognized with the prestigious Mount Sinai Medical Center Medical Resident of the Year Award, a testament to her passion and selflessness in the medical field.
